The National Association of Independent Media (NAOIM) is a strictly nonpartisan organization.

NAOIM does not endorse political parties, candidates, campaigns, or ballot initiatives. We do not advocate for political outcomes, legislation, or ideology.

Our mission is singular and clear: to uphold press freedom and support independent journalists committed to ethical, accurate, and accountable reporting in the public interest.

Independent media plays a critical role in a healthy democracy by informing the public, holding power accountable, and ensuring a diversity of voices and perspectives. That role requires independence not only from government influence, but from political alignment, financial pressure, and institutional bias.

NAOIM supports journalists across a wide range of subject matter, viewpoints, and platforms. Membership in NAOIM does not imply agreement with any specific editorial position, nor does it confer editorial direction or oversight.
